Thanks to your generosity and resilience, this year Fight Back New York went hard at anti-gay senators and beat them. The work you helped us do brought New York one step closer to equality.

You helped drive an unprecedented amount – over $790,000 – into Fight Back New York, making it the largest independent political action committee focused on the New York state legislature this year. For the first time ever, a public campaign was waged to go after anti-gay elected officials – and we successfully took out every candidate we targeted. In a state with more than 96% incumbency reelection, that rarely if ever happens. And legislators notice when their colleagues don’t return to the new session.

The success we had with Fight Back New York sends a clear signal that pro-equality donors can be a real threat to anti-gay legislative candidates. All eyes are now on Albany as we watch to make sure they do the right thing. And we’ll be back again if they don’t.
