WE'RE BACK.

We’re baaaaaack. Did you miss us?

A half a year went by very quickly. That’s how long it’s been since you helped to fundamentally change the political landscape in New York. Now we’re almost at the end of the legislative session and we believe we have the best shot we’ve ever had at finally winning marriage. So we’re going to ask you to help one more time.

We’ve watched carefully as a coalition of advocacy groups formed alongside the powerful support of Governor Cuomo. These groups—Empire State Pride Agenda, HRC, Freedom to Marry, Log Cabin Republicans and Marriage Equality New York—are united in a way that we’ve truly never seen before (and this isn’t our first time at the rodeo).

Over the past few months, you have probably noticed that the efforts of the coalition are bearing real fruit: support for marriage in New York is at 58% and they’re recruiting new, powerful allies every day.

We’re impressed. And it takes a lot to impress us. From what we’ve seen, the coalition is smart, strategic, and efficient. And Governor Cuomo is playing to win. We believe they’re on the brink of victory.

We know that you’re in this fight to win and, in what we hope will be the final round, there are concrete ways that you can help the coalition push marriage across the finish line:

• Support: Contribute to the New Yorkers United for Marriage coalition with a donation of $25, $50, or even $1,000 today. Just like the campaign last fall, every dollar you contribute goes directly toward airtime for powerful TV ads and mailers sent to constituents in targeted senate districts. No organizational overhead—just 100% campaign materials.

• Speak up: Get involved with New Yorkers United for Marriage by visiting their website and contacting your state senator. With only a few weeks left, now is the time to let them hear directly from you.

• Spread the word: Forward this email to anyone you know who cares about winning in New York. Post a message on Facebook. Even tweet about it, if the spirit catches you. We need to make sure we have everyone involved and doing what they can at this stage.

Thank you again for all you have done so far. None of this would have even been possible without the strong message that you sent to elected officials on both sides of the aisle last year. Now let's help the coalition and get this done!
